Scrap Metal is the most basic of Blueprint construction components, and thus always in high demand and low supply. Using the Pasiphae to retrieve Space Capsules is the primary source of this item, however the stock can be bolstered by dismantling items like the Microwave and unlocking various ship projects.

• Success chance: 13%
  • Technician doubles the success chance.
    • Stacks with Alien Bottle Opener, Adjustable Wrench, and Oscilloscope.
      
• Target: Damaged or broken Patrol Ship (including Pasiphae)
  
• Effect: Reinforces the hull of a patrol ship by 5 , using up the Scrap Metal in the process. (Failed attempts also consume Scrap Metal)
  • Increased to 10 by Oscilloscope.

• Success chance: 25%, increased to 50% with oscilloscope (carried), and to 75% with oscilloscope and wrench (both carried).
