The Superfreezer can be used to Hyperfreeze perishable food so that it becomes non-perishable.

  • Icon Cooked Rations and Icon Alien Steaks are transformed into Icon Standard Rations. The risk of getting a disease is removed for Alien steaks.
  • Other perishable consumables (such as fruits) gain the Icon Frozen status which halts their decay.

Consumables keep their current decay status when hyperfrozen, meaning you can't un-decay them.
