Hunters are attack ships sent by the (infected) Federation to destroy the Daedalus. They will come at you relentlessly, and it's up to you and the rest of the crew to get rid of them.

Fighting the hunters
Patrol Ships
Patrol ships are the most effective way to deal with the hunter threat. These are small piloted fighters with powerful cannons that can take out hunters with ease, should you know how to fly one.

There are three patrol ships in both Alpha Bay 1 and Bravo Bay 1, and one patrol ship in Bravo Bay 2 (along with the Pasiphae). They are initially locked, stopping anyone without the Pilot skill from flying them, but a NERON Admin can unlock the ships from the Nexus.

To use a patrol ship, go to one of the bays and take off (costs 2 ). Be careful, if you are not a Pilot there are large odds of causing accidents when taking off or landing. Once launched, you can shoot your ship's weapon, accuracy depending on whether you have the Pilot skill or not (80% for pilots, ??% for non-pilots). Each miss will increase the accuracy of the next shot, so you will eventually hit something for 3-6 damage. A patrol ship has 10 shots before it has to dock and reload.

Flying a patrol ship is not without risks. When a hunter fires, it has a chance to hit you instead, dealing its damage to your ship and also damaging you for 1 . A patrol ship has 10 durability points, and once this reaches 0 the ship will explode, effectively removing you from existence. A Pilot can affect how often they are hit by spending 1 to change flying stance.
* Stance: Bait - Every shot from an enemy is almost guaranteed to hit you instead. This will effectively protect the Daedalus, but keeping this up for even one cycle could mean your downfall.
* Stance: Neutral - Standard flight stance. Offers no benefit or downside. Everyone flying a ship starts out in this stance.
* Stance: Retreat - You will no longer be hit by hunters, but you cannot fire back either. Perfect if you run out of ammo/action points and there are still plenty of hunters alive.

Lastly, if the Daedalus jumps between planets while you are in a ship, you will be left behind, effectively killing you. Coordination is key.

Ship Cannons
There are six cannons located on the daedalus: Two in the front, next to the bridge, two in the middle, connected to the front ship bays, and two in the rear, connected to the engine room. You can enter these cannons and fire back at the hunters, albeit with low accuracy. Ship cannons have 4 shots each before they have to recharge, which is done automatically between cycles.

Hey guys/girls, do we plan to distribute some of the work to be done here, or we just tackle random things?
I'm asking because I wouldn't want to work on something that someone else already started doing but didn't upload yet. --Rumata (talk) 05:20, 11 November 2013 (MST)
:I guess if you're working on something but haven't uploaded it yet, it's best if you not it in the Discussion page of the article to avoid mistakes. Otherwise, you might as well edit and correct things at random if you ask me. Germz (talk) 09:51, 20 November 2013 (MST)

TODO: Get those nice icons.

Every action gets logged in the room for later viewing. However, not everyone can see the log of every action. Be sure you're familiar with your action's log's privacy level before doing them, as there are some things you might just want to keep a secret. Simply put, there are multiple levels of privacy:

 Private > Mush > Covert > Secret/Discreet > Public

* Private: Logs that only you can see, or actions that have no log whatsoever.
* Mush: Logs that are only visible to other Mush on the ship.
* Covert: Logs that are only visible if action is committed in the presence of installed cameras (100% guarantee), or Eleesha's Observer skill (25% chance).
* Secret/Discrete: Logs that are visible if action is committed in the presence of a camera or another person, doesn't matter Mush or Human.
* Public: Logs that are visible to everyone.
* Special: Logs that have its own unique rules.

So, does this mean any Private or Mush level actions are always safe to carry out? Not necessarily. Chao can have the Torture skill, which for 1 AP, he can force you to spit out your last few actions, regardless of privacy level! The number of actions that gets revealed increases as your HP goes down, up to 8. The reason why this skill bypasses privacy is because it doesn't reveal logs...it reveals actions.

Also, keep in mind that a single action can produce multiple logs at different privacy levels. For example, when you infect the cat, the entire room sees you cuddling the cat (like normal) as a Public log. However, there'll also be a Private/Mush log for yourself.

Other thing you should keep in mind about room logs: Eleesha's Tracker skill allows her to view the logs in the last 16 cycles. Everyone else can only view them for 8 cycles. (Note that even you can't view logs of your own actions after they disappear).
